Barcelona has no shortage of great pizza.

What we felt was missing was a place where you could grab a great New York-style slice, order a whole pizza for the table, enjoy a cocktail at the bar, or sit down for a casual meal with friends, all under one roof.

That’s the idea behind Sacred Slice Pizza.

I’m originally from Los Angeles, grew up in the Washington, DC area, and have spent years exploring great food cities across the United States. Along the way, I made plenty of trips to New York and became obsessed with the city’s pizza culture.

What I loved most wasn’t just the pizza itself. It was how accessible it was.

You could stop in for a quick slice during the day, sit down for a whole pie with friends, or grab something great to eat without making a big production out of it.

When I moved to Barcelona, I found incredible restaurants and an amazing food culture. What I didn’t find very often was that classic New York-style pizza experience.

That’s what inspired Sacred Slice.

What Does Pizza by the Slice Mean?

Pizza by the slice is exactly what it sounds like.

We bake large New York-style pizzas, cut them into slices, and offer them individually throughout the day.

It’s a simple concept, but it gives people more flexibility.

Maybe you’re looking for a quick lunch.

Maybe you want to try a slice before deciding on a whole pie.

Maybe you’re meeting a friend for a drink and want something great to eat alongside it.

Pizza by the slice gives you that option.

At the same time, Sacred Slice is very much a full-service restaurant. We serve whole pizzas, appetizers, salads, desserts, cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or sitting down for dinner, we want the experience to feel welcoming and relaxed.

More Than Just Pizza

While New York-style pizza is at the heart of what we do, Sacred Slice was never intended to be just another pizzeria.

From the beginning, we wanted to create a restaurant that felt thoughtful, welcoming, and distinctly its own.

Every detail of the space has been carefully considered, from the custom lighting and artwork to the music playing throughout the restaurant. We’ve spent countless hours thinking about how the room should feel, not just how the food should taste.

Great restaurants are about more than what’s on the plate. They’re about atmosphere, energy, and creating a place people genuinely enjoy spending time in.

The pizza may be what brings people through the door, but we hope the experience is what brings them back.

Our goal is simple: serve great food, offer genuine hospitality, and create a stylish neighborhood restaurant that feels at home in Barcelona.

What You’ll Find on the Menu

Our menu is centered around New York-style pizza, available both by the slice and as whole pies.

You’ll find classics like Cheese and Pepperoni alongside house creations that reflect both our American influences and our life here in Barcelona.

One of our signature pizzas, The Sacred, combines pepperoni, Spanish sausage, jamón serrano, caramelized onions, pecorino romano, and spicy oil. It’s a pizza that brings together elements of New York pizza culture with ingredients we love from Spain.

We’ll also offer vegan options, fresh salads, appetizers, desserts, and a full beverage program featuring cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks.

Inspired by New York, Built for Barcelona

Sacred Slice isn’t about recreating New York in Barcelona.

Barcelona already has its own incredible food culture and identity.

Instead, we’re taking inspiration from one of the world’s great pizza cities and combining it with everything we love about living here: great neighborhoods, great food, and places that bring people together.

Our goal is to serve excellent pizza, create a welcoming restaurant, and give people another way to enjoy great pizza in Barcelona, whether that’s by the slice or by the pie.
